Would you support a commemorative for Amerigo Vespucci?

I was just thinking today that it's awkward we have commemoratives for Christopher Columbus but we have no commemorative's for the very man America is said to be named after. Would you support a bill that would allow an Amerigo Vespucci commemorative design?

    edson,

I thought that was Martin Waldseemuller who wrote in America on the map? I didn't think that was Amerigo Vespucci himself that did that. I guess I learn something every day.

Neither Vespucci nor Columbus deserves to be on a US coin. They did nothing for our country, nothing to make it great.

How about a Commemorative to Al Capone.

We could do a remake of the Gangster Nickel.image
