What's more valuable to you?--A set of straight 8's or half 8's half 9's O/C

I'm working on a set of vintage cards and have ended up with many PSA 9's off center. Would most people keep these cards or prefer clean PSA 8's with no qualifiers even though the PSA 9' look great. I'm interested in hearing everyones opinion.

PS. Welcome to the boards! What do you collect?
(Edited to add PS)
Now if you're talking straight 9's that are a bit off center....that's another story. I'd take the set that's half and half.
The registery penalizes two points for o/c so from a registery perspective the question is half 8's and half 7's or all 8's.
From a finacial perspective, I have been able to pick up 9 o/c's many times at less than half what a 7 would bring. When I get the chance, I'll do that. What will I do with the cards?? I don't know but nearly free seems a good prices for a card that clean. I won't put them in sets though unless I have immediate plans to upgrade.

I always found it better to have a nicely centered card with somewhat nice corners than an off center one with sharp corners.
If you took a look at recent ebay transactions you will see that the O/c qualifier is almost worse than death or taxes when it comes to selling your item via auction.
PS- Are you the same Cisco that has had numerous hit records out in the last couple of years or just merely the owner of CISCO???????

1954 Wilson Franks -- I would take the 9 O/C's in a heartbeat
1961 Topps FB PSA 8
1970 Topps FB PSA 9
Straight 8's for me.
(those OC letters on the holder look about 3" tall...LOL..)

- Slowly (Very Slowly) Working On A 1952 Topps Raw Set (Lower Grade)
to have an OC card - a PSA 9 OC counts only as much as a PSA 7 NQ ie a 2 grade hit for a qualifier.
(Was wondering if my 1967 complete set didn't sell because it had a lot of PSA 8 OCs and
maybe all NMs would be better?)
1967and 1973 Topps baseball wantlists (any condition) welcome. Once had the #14 ATF 1967 set. Yet another collector like skylaneflyer, gimel1 who made it to the completion of 1967 only to need the money more than the company of 609 close friends.
Looking for oddball Norm Cash and Cleon Jones stuff, and 1956 team cards
but i would take a T206 wagner in a 9 oc.
