Moving on

I'm not moving on from here. I am making a pledge though, to try to post some topics and add to others that will relate to the PSA set registry, and get away from all of the divisive posts of the last few weeks.

The Set Registry, and the Set Registry board are special to many of us, so I for one am committing to try and keep this board informative and positive.

    I echo these thoughts.
I've said numerous times to knock any grading company (PRO notwithstanding) is to knock them all.
All leading card grading companies do the same thing, to protect & evaluate the card, if 1 chooses to collect PSA, GAI, SGC, Beckett, SCD or a combination of them all, no big deal, have fun with the collection and lets all get along w/ each other image ...jay

So now that we have agreement from a number of us to keep the posts about cards - do you think we should elect a Death Squad to take care of those who don't?image

  • How can I deny good common sense.....
There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"
  • "do you think we should elect a Death Squad to take care of those who don't?"

Maybe PSA can reassign the Grader of Death to this Death Squad of which FB speaks. I'd like to get him out of the card room.

  • Thsi thread started from a "conversion" For anyone online last night at 1 AM EST, I put up a post regarding the SGC board. Then I had a revelation, and thus I edited it to this post.

I'm with onegaucho--do not respond to the posts that get out of line, as hard as that is to do.

    O - Tay!

Love the Whitey Ford displayed with the SMR article by the way.

  • You guys are going to let little things like common sense, facts, and mutual respect for fellow human beings get in the way of a good hatred??? That does it! I'm inspired. This changes everything for me. I'm not even going to argue with a single umpire this spring...I mean it...not ONE!...

... Unless the SOB starts umpiring the score rather than the game and jobs us early and makes me wait for the make-up call and deliberately makes eye contact with me on a borderline pitch...

...seriously, I like the recent threads about favorite cards and cards that never were etc. I actually have avoided posting on the "other" threads this time around. I'm letting my silence there do my talking. So unless you say something uninformed and take a stance that I feel is potentially harmful to my prosperity and place in society--you'll all have a kinder, gentler "frazier".

Wow Rob. I was upset to see the title of your thread.....glad you're not leaving the hobby or the boards. Count me in as a positive poster.

OK, how about a post on your 61 Topps BB crusade. Why that year? How did you get your cards? Why won't you sell me your 61 Ralph Houk PSA 8??image
    Frank

Always looking for 1957 Topps BB in PSA 9!

  • Buck, you Ol'e doctor of trickery. How many pope's are in hell?

I had the same reaction as Frank when I saw this title...
I do regret getting involved in one negative thread in the 2 years on this board. Positive is much better.

Frank! Forget about the 133 in 8. Buck still hasn't forgiven me for snatching one from a dealer that closed his auction early. The card was up for only 30 mins. I offered, he accepted.

Good question for Buck! How did you get your cards for that 61 set. Why 1961?
