If William S. was a collector

what would he have written? Perhaps the following:

Shall I compare thee to a mirrored proof which has more depth and light?
A proof is easily impaired they say, and dims with time from nature’s bite.
And if a proof shines too bright by chance, a wag will say ‘tis dipped,
and with this calumny voiced, it’s virgin skin by dealer stripped,
the collectors soul is pierced with fury, and time will not assuage
the pain he feels at old silvers shine, untoned- too bright with age.
What eternal resting place will keep your shine as minted,
sharply struck and luster bright, by natures colors softly tinted?
As long as I can I'll covet, and hold within my sphere at large
this trust, this coin, this jewel, my curatorial duties to discharge.

Which I like better than the following from a rapper collector:

Yo, Bro! Whassup with that, that silver coin-
it makes me want to grab my groin.

Yeah...well,
some things will last, others won't-Thank God

    My grandfather was William S.

In fact, if you take my middle name and last initial, so am I!

Both versions are nice. You're threatening the Bard's territory. image

If William S could only hear this he'd turn over in his grave...

  • Wonderful work, Laurent!

And by the way, I like your sig line, too. I'm sure PETA wouldn't care for it (unless, by some rare chance, they understood it).

Robert A Heinlein-one of my favorite authors
whose quotes occupy my sig line,
    different from time to time.
William S. wherever you are, my apologies.

Lord M-which Darkside bard? Are you referring to Clankeye? Is he not lightside oriented?
