Have Veterans Committee Selections Made a Difference on Graded Cards

I'm currently collecting Mel Harder Memorabilia. Mel pitched during the 30's and 40's and coached in the 50's and 60's. I think one of the only people to have played in two decades and coached in two decades.
I'm not doing this for profit, but because I knew and respected Mel as an individual who lived his last days in my community.
I hope that someday the Veterans Committee will vote him in.
My question is, has any player from the last 70's years been selected by the Veterans Committee in which their card or memorabilia significantly increased in value, mainly because the player is no longer alive to sign articles or because their cards or other items were just not collected?

Definitely for players who played before 1920, a Veteran's committee selection to the HOF has had HUGE and significant impacts on price, particularly with those players who only have a handful or rare and/or regional cards. I think the effect is much more muted with cards, post-1933
I have quite a bit of Mel's memorabilia, even the jersey he wore the night the Indians celebrated their 100th anniv., with the old Wahoo on the sleeve and the big C on the front.
While King Carl Hubbell got the press for striking out all those giants in the '34 AS game, Mel actually won it. He said the reporters paid him no never mind yet flocked around ol' Meal Ticket.
