Something Smells Fishy!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2784932826&category=58001

Hmmmm...how much you wanna bet he doesn't own any of these items??? Totally looks like the scans were lifted. I e-mailed the seller asking for scans of the backs of the cards and never heard back. Surprise, surprise. eBay should really be notified.

"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

  • I know what smells fishy. Check the "USA Softball chick" thread.
There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"

yes, they are all scanned from different scanners.
    some are darker than others,
    some are larger than others,
some have dark backgrounds and some
    don't.

and a ZERO feedback - new user....

    RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sent the following message to the seller. Wonder if he'll respond???

Was considering bidding on these items, but was wondering where you were located. Was hoping you would be close enough that I could pick them up, if successful.
    Thanks.

I notified eBay yesterday and, of course, they did nothing. A seller should not be allowed to conduct private auctions with no feedback. On a related topic, what's the deal with private feedback??? This should never be allowed either.

If it's indeed a scam, I'm wondering why he would put a reserve on it. If he doesn't really have the cards, then it's not like he has any upfront costs to worry about.
