Question about Large Cent registry

Coin FinderCoin Finder Posts: 7,184 ✭✭✭✭✭
Hi Dave.

The 1796 Reverse of 96 slot is missing from my set and I have poured over the Breen book on early large cents and can only come up with one Sheldon number that would fit the bill, a Sheldon 100. Is this the coin that will be slabbed as a "reverse of 96" or is there another? Gordon Wruble would know in a heartbeat.

Thanks

Tbig

    Sheldon 100 is NOT a reverse of 1796. The Sheldon numbers for the reverse of 1796 are 92, 93, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 116, and NC 2.
