1938 Buffalo Nickel Varieties

EvilMCTEvilMCT Posts: 799 ✭✭✭
I posted this in U.S. coin forum with out much of a response and it was suggested that I try posting here. So, what are the varieties that PCGS recognizes for 1938 Buffalo Nickels designated D/D or D/S? Thank you for your time.

    Hi Ken,

The D over S is the one that is in both the Redbook and the Cherry Picker's Guide (FS-020.5.)

The D over D is the one that is shifted sharply to the left of the D with no traces below. It's the only one we recognize.
