OT: pictures from Oregon (cacheman's backyard)

I was in Oregon over the New Year's holiday and only a few miles from Cacheman, although it didn't cross my mind until I got home so we missed meeting up. But I must say that it is a really beautiful place there. I attached some pictures so you can see all the natural beauty that was there, aside from me of course.

Brr! Rather frigid-lookin'! Looks like fun, though- pretty, in a stark sort of way.

You look a bit like Boba Fett in the first pic (minus blaster rifle and rocket launchers). Or maybe the new spring line in Imperial Stormtrooper fashions.

Y'all probably have an easier time keepin' your beer cold than the good ol' boys around here do, though.
Just shove the bottle into the top of a gigantic white mushroom.

You are lucky guy with all that snow! I have now only sun with 20 C temp.( don't know how much it is in Farengeit scale)

Note the will-o'-the-wisps floating around John and his wife in the second picture (the one where he looks like Boba Fett).

Will this be on some website about ghosts and the paranormal?

PS- also note John's demonic red eyes, when we finally get a look at his face.

I'd say there is some definite paranormal activity goin' on up there. Looks almost like a sequel of The Shining.

Yeah, John was staying only 20 miles west of me. There has been lots of snow this year however, there currently isn't any on the ground at my place. Where I live can be considered the banana-belt of central Oregon. I'm in the canyon valley floor of the Crooked River which is 500' below the surrounding landscape. Although cold, it does get more protection from the weather here than what John was experiencing.

Not mine...all my shots are predigital age and I am too lazy to scan any of them. This is about 10 miles from me but I live on the same river. Do a Google image search on "Smith Rocks" and you'll see alot more pics

I'd love to go back there in the summer. It was such as beautiful place.
Jester you are right, those snow mobiles are just like riding a motorcycle. Once you get over 50mph, it is pretty hairy.

Yep, in Wisconsin it seems a few guys loose their heads every year......hitting that bailing wire at throat level at any speed will ruin your dinner plans.
