I have always depended on ("benefitted" from) the kindness of "strangers".....

I hope you don't mind my paraphrasing that line from "A Streetcar Named Desire" ! (thanks for the correction by one such "stranger"- - XpipedreamR !)
But what I meant to say is that, in my two years or so on this Forum, I have been the recipient of a greater number of gifts, trades, interesting facts and answers to questions than I could EVER have imagined!
And my collecting has gone in directions I never even thought of! Once a captive of the Lightside and Greyside (Canada) only, I now reside almost entirely on the Darkside, stopping only to gather each year's new issue of circulating US coins to keep myselfand my kids up-to-date.
What has amazed me more than anything is everyone's willingness to share their time and experience with all levels of collectors, making us all feel welcome! I'm pretty sure the entire sum of my collection could pretty much be bought and sold by just a handful of many of this Forum's members' walk-around coins, but there is never the feeling when on this Forum that I am being talked down to or thought of as inconsequential.
I always have been, and always will continue to be, a collector of circulated-grade coins in Whitman folders and now 2x2's, and my "extras" are mostly those coins one would find in the average "junk box" at their local flea market, coin show, or dealer. And, while I am comfortable with this, it has always been my hope that I could still return the favor somehow for all the encouragement, support, and help I have received here these past few years.
So, while my extras might not thrill most anyone here on the Forum, I am hoping some of you might be able to pass along to me some names/addresses of worthy recipients of some of the extras which I do have - - be they fledgling coin clubs for kids, youngsters who are new to the game, etc - - so that I might pass along some things to further their interest.
So.... this is not your average giveaway. Rather, it's a "Thank You" to everyone I've had the pleasure to "meet" on this Forum, and a solicitation for some worthy nominations.
I thought about asking those of you with suggestions to PM me with the relevant info, but, if you don't mind, maybe you could just post it straight here on this thread. That way, some others on the Forum might also choose to pass along some extras to them as well, if they see fit.
So thanks again for all the help, and here's hoping there's a lot of good, worthy candidate suggestions lurking out there!

Maybe there is a similar line in "Gone With the Wind."
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." -Luke 11:9
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." -Deut. 6:4-5
"For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; He will save us." -Isaiah 33:22

You're right-I see any number of individual coins owned by members that would equal in value what I spent on coins all last year; yet these same members are able to appreciate and discuss without being jaded other common coins that appear on the forum. This is called character and class and World Coin forum members have it in quantity.
I will keep my eyes and ears open for an address or group that help YN-your offer is very generous.

Come on over ... to The Dark Side!
Sounds like a great idea. In fact, maybe we should as a group think about "adopting" a coin club for kids and sending them a care package. It's always good to hook them young.
Your observations are what makes the Darkside such a special place!
