What floors me is that ANACS didn't Net grade the coin.

Why did ANACS certify a dipped coin as if it were not?! That poor fool probably thinks he really does have something worth that much....

Krause even mentions in a note that Gardner coins were cleaned and trade around VF prices.. how can a TPG claim ignorance on that? If I were that seller and I mistakenly paid true unc price I'd be pissed at ANACS.

(then again I may be giving the seller too much credit.. so apply that to the buyer then)

And they didn't even give me the Admiral Gardner pedigree when I submitted one. Admittedly, I had no COA to prove it, but I wrote it in on the invoice and the coin was obviously sea-salvaged. An Admiral Gardner coin, beyond doubt.
