In addition, they simply aren't scary anymore. They were the first time I saw them a few years ago, but they've run their course like so many other internet fads.

Now if you want to scare me, make up an animated gif that shows one of the GEM MINT 10 1952 Topps Mickey Mantles. Have us stare at it for 30 seconds and then, in an instant, bash it with a hammer! That's about what it will take for me to shreak in horror over one of these things.
