What's the best coins you've got for sell?

Pick a few of your best coins THAT ARE FOR SELL, post them here. We see some real stunners on some of the other boards. It should be interesting to see what kind of stunners are actually for sell. I'll hold of on posting mine until there are a few other posts.

  • Nice Lincolns David - The 25-D looks really nice but are you serious about your asking price? Seems very steep to me. No offense meant, but I think I can get a PCGS 65RB for less, maybe even a 65RD.

    Mike,

I am totally sure about the asking price. I know where you're coming from, and I'm sure you could get a 65RB for less, even in a PCGS holder. I'm 98% sure this one would cross, and will eventually cross it I dont sell it. You can check Heritage auction history and see that they've been going for around $500... but then open the auctions up and take a look at what you're getting for that price. This one is full red on the obv. with a very attractive reverse. When you check out what a 65RD would cost ($2200-$2900), you can see where I got the price from.

P.S. No offence was taken. I've looked at a lot of rediculous prices. Some times I just scratch my head and wonder where they pull those numbers from. Also, the 25-D is a coin I wouldnt mind keeping LONG term. I'm certain I could get $700 for it. Some coins, you dont really want to sell, but you put your price on it.
  • Thanks for the info. David. I had no idea that a 65RD was $2,000 or more. Sometimes I just shake my head at the prices too!

  • Sure looks like a "D" mintmark on that 18-S.

I think most decent 65rd's are more like $4000 coins now! Another pm sent LincolnCentMan!

Yeah, that s looks like a d! Sometimes I swear my 12-s looks like a d to the naked eye. I grab my loupe and look, oh yeah, it is an s.

Hey, JTK, you're back! What happened to your registry set?

Edited to add. My best coin for sale right now is pictured below (pcgs 64rb).

    JTK,

Once I spliced the pic together, I noticed that one too. That is the right pic and it is a 18-S. It's a pretty squared off S... but it's an S.
