79 thru '81 proof sets..type I and type II?

I was just checking PCGS price guide on some proof sets I've got, and noticed the big $$ difference between the designations. Is it just a difference in holder? image
Don't you know that it's worth
every treasure on Earth
to be young at heart?
And as rich as you are,
it's much better by far,
to be young at heart!

You'd have to see pictures. Maybe someone can put some up.

The 79 type II is "clearer" than type I. The 81 typeI is pretty much the same as 79 type II. 81 type II is "clearer" than type I.

I hope that "clears" things upimage

They blubed the 's' all three years? How did they blub(sp) it ?

Only the '79 and '81 are recognized with two types.
