Blanchard has a history of hyping overpriced coins as investments, and going to the general public.

Heritage is much more collector-friendly and fairly-priced, and is much better regarded in the numismatic community.

GottaGetCoins: Large volume coin companies are like large mutual funds (Fidelity Magellan) they have to do such large volumes of business, that they cannot always have only the highest quality coins. They may have the largest selection, and that may work for the buyer, but you may have to sift & sort through alot fo volume to find a few gems (for you).

They can be useful web sites to search through on the internet, but it can get to be high-maintenance.

As you get more familiar with specific dealers, who keep your wantlist items in mind, or who specialize in your specific interests, you may find yourself gravitating towards them.

Another large dealer who's web site you may wish to check is David Lawrence Rare Coins. They are on the big side, but work with you personally if you call and speak with them. If you post your specific areas of interest, other forum members will advise you on niche dealers for those specific type coins.
