I know it's a bit early but....

who's planning on going to Nationals?

I'm flying in that Tuesday night and out Sunday morning. I'm headed for Canton on Wednesday morning to visit the football HOF. It's only a 60 mile drive from Cleveland.

Anyway, I noticed that the Indians are home that night playing the White Sox. Anybody up for a game?

For those that are definites we can leave this post up for a week or so and than make a mass purchase so we can sit together. Not that it'll be hard in Cleveland.

What do y'all think?

  • Tom,

I am driving there on Friday from New York so I will not be able to attend the game but I would like to see if we can get a group together for a drink. I'll buy the first round.

By the way, if anyone is in the Long Island area and wants to hitch a ride, let me know.

I'm sure we will. PSA usually holds a little get together for Set Registry folks. If they don't I'm sure we'll do it on our own. Let's see.

    GoSoxBoSox...

    Not too early at all...

I'll be there on Wed. and leave also on Sun. (Can't wait!!!..)

I've been working on a group of seats for the Indians game, but won't know until mid March. Trying to get a box section behind home plate for about a dozen guys.... LMK, who wants to go...I think, with the "Summit Dinner" on Friday, and a lot of the guys not being able to make it until the weekend, Saturday night seems to be the only night that makes the most sense...???

I'm also not sure about the Auction.....(what night...???...)

Anyway..... I'll be there for all the festivities.....

Hope to meet all the Registry guys....(and see a few familar faces I met last year...)

I'll be making the 6 hour ride and should reach Cleveland Wednesday afternoon, I already got my vip pass, and hotel reservations. I'll be coming w/ my teenage son, and my Marine thinks he'll be able to get leave. He's now stationed in Hawaii and called me yesterday that he's going to the Pro Bowl for free as he is on the crew that assembles the stage for the half-time show. So if you see the stage collapse, you'll know that its his handywork image - By the way, after last year in Atlantic City with the wife, I made it clear she wasn't invited to Cleveland, turns out walking throughout the show for 3 days isn't her cup of tea. So at least this year I can enjoy myself image ...jay

  • I will be in Cincinnati that whole week and a game sounds great with me.I will probably have my 12 year old son(Patrick)with me again this year.Any night is doable for me .Count me in for two and let me know.It will be good to see some of the guys from last year and meet some new ones.I am saving my money as we speak.

Please be kind to me. Even though I'm now a former postal employee, I'm still capable of snapping at any time.
  • I live right outside of Clevesburg, so you know I'll be there if I can!
  • What does it take to be invited to the PSA set registry luncheon? A certain number of sets or a certain percentage of one set, etc.?

And while we're talking about the Nationals, can anyone describe the "VIP lounge"? Since I won't be there early and I don't collect autographs, the only benefit I can see to the VIP pass for me is the area they are describing where you can sit down away from it all. Would it be a waste of money or is it worth it?

    Thanks.

I live in the Cleveland area...and have already submitted vacation for Wed-Friday. A couple of registry guys are from the NE Ohio area.....myself, Carkim, Teemu, MetalMike, and Hartland Man.

I definately want to participate in the Superior Live auction...Im believe it will be Friday and Saturday nights (if they have it)...so Im not sure if the Summit dinner on Friday will work out..unless it is early.

ZODIAC- All are invited to the registry luncheon....as long as you have an interest in the concept. The great thing about the National is that you can get sloshed while at the show...there are bar kiosks up along one side of the IX center!

PC- You have to be freaking kidding me if you think 90210 is nicer than Cleveland. image

    King,

Just a point of order question.

Will there be beer available? image (Joe's facial expression last year was absolutely priceless)

Looking forward to a great time in Cleveland!

I'm only 2 hrs away, so count me in on any/all Fri./Sat. festivities that include:

    1) Beer
    2) Good Food
    3) Exotic Dancers
    4) The King
    5) Beer

Oh, I'll likely go to the card show too.
  • if i drive up there, i'll bring a few cases of Ziegenbock (local Texas beer)....if you've never had it, you're missing out
