WOW -- NEON $1 FOR GSA GUY

This MONSTER toned 1881-S dollar has reflective prooflike surfaces on both side and is in a ICG (perish the thought) MS66 holder. Oh, it has already been promised to GSA guy who saw it at Long Beach right after I bought it for close to 3K -- yup, I must be an idiot.

Breathtaking. I just breathed in my TicTac when I saw it. Took me a moment to hack it back up... but it was worth it.

Mike, ICG HUH? (stman snubbing nose) I heard on here there must be a reason these dollars are in "Off Brand" holders. So if I heard it on here it must be true.

Actually, that coin was in an old PCGS 'rattler' holder. The fellow that sold the coin had it reslabbed by ICG (why, I haven't a clue)...........here ICG....I have some extra cash in my pocket that I need to get rid of.

    Anyway, it's a cute coin.

    Bryan,

I bought a wild 1882-S too in a PCGS MS65 "rattler" holder. It too is 100% obverse toned with vivid teal covering two thirds of it with tangerine, fuchsia, lemon, raspberry and violet finishing it off. I'll try and post an image later today, or tomorrow at the latest.

Now that I've had time to think about -- Bryan did take advantage of me, but it's not the first time (I've let him take advantage of me before and I'm proud to have a few of my coins in his collection).
