Breaking the silence! High end PCGS Lincolns for sale on ebay (1949 & 1954 MS66RD) True Auctions

Couldn't resist letting people here know about them.

Both started at a $1 with no reserve. Two of the nicest I have seen for the dates, especially the 1954.

1954 Lincoln Cent PCGS MS66RD 1c

  • Morris - I'm in on both of these and am the high bidder, for now. These are the only two I need in 66 to have 1936-1958 in 66 or better. Chances are, I won't get either one 'cause the prices are going through the roof. Lucky you!! (and unlucky me...)

I'd love to buy those, but if I paid that much for a Lincoln Cent after 1928 I'd probably be so picky I still wouldn't like it! I admit they look pretty nice though! I might not be able to get past all the die polish though. I know it doesn't affect the grade, but don't you guys still think it detracts from the beauty?

What's with all the 30-d's being traded? I just counted 3 or 4 people in the registry who added an ms66rd 30-d.
  • Well morris, I'm no longer the high bidder on the '49 nor the '54 - it was fun while it lasted! I dove in on the 30-D but was outbid from the get go!! Of course, there's still time so....

I think you're getting a very good price on the '54 ($330 as I type) and the '49 should go higher ($270.01 as I sit here). Best of luck on these tough dates. The only two I need post-'35 in 66RD or better! AAARRRGGGHH!!!!

  • The 54 hammered at $482 (not bad, but I expected a little more...this is a great coin) and the 49 hammered at $290 (also not bad, but still expected a tad more) Altogether happy! image
