How common are rotated Peace $ dies?

I haven't seen many on ebay.... anyone collect these? What, if any premium is there? THX.

I haven't seen one. But if it is less than 30 degrees rotated, it's not a premium (within tolerance). Medal rotation has a bigger premium. 90 degrees has a medium premium. But ultimately, you have to decide how much having this rotation is worth to you. I overpaid a bit for a half cent with a 120 degree rotation. It was cool, it was worth it to me. But I may not ever re-sell it at that price within 10 years, either. Thankfully, it was cheap. image

I found one once with a 30% rotation. Put it on ebay and it brought $50. Gave it away. Since then I've seen them listed in Fred Weinbergs price list for $200 and up.

They must be rare cause I've been through a gazillion circ Peace Dollars in my lifetime and that was the only one.

    Rotations

Here's a link which will tell you what's available and give a ball park estimate of populations.

It seems to be pretty comprehensive but it's tough to tell about accuracy.
