e-bay question

Last week I listed my first auction with e-bay. My username was my e-mail address. Tody I see my username has been changed. There are no changes to the items I am bidding on, have won or selling. Has anyone heard of this before? I just started selling and the new name is a black mark. Joe

    I think Ebay did away with email addresses as usernames because of spam.

    jbstevens is correct-Ebay no longer allows your ID to be an email address.

    They don't allow email addresses as screen names anymore. It was to easy for scammers.

    Yep, there was an announcement on eBay a while back that ID's consisting of an eMail address were no longer going to be allowed. Part of the announcement was that if the user didn't change it by a specific date, eBay would change it for them.

    Thanks . I guess the date was Feb. 6. when I listed my only auction a week ago they recomended it but I don't think they said they would change it for me. It only shows as a change if you go to ID history. Not the little icon. Thanks again for the replies. Joe
