Looks like a Type 2 to me. Breast feather detail seems too strong for Type 1.

Nice coin. Usual shiny patches in the hair portion of the portrait. A little bath, and I think you have a cameo.

I find it easiest to just count the feathers to the left of the perch as you look at it. 4 feathers type-1, 3 feathers type-2.

I compared the coin to a nice 53 proof at the coin shop and its definitely a type II.. Thanks to everyone....Ken
