Finished the Kennedy set today

My son and I finished our MS Kennedy Half (inspired by Russ, Ken, and all of the other Kennedy Heads) set today. It is in a Dansco album (inspired by Baley).

The best part was showing my son how to hold the coins, insert them and the feeling he got when we put in the last two (86 P&D).

Is this a great hobby or what?

Congratulations. That's quite a feeling of accomplishment when one finishes a set.

For me, though, I was always left wondering what to do next. Finishing a set is bittersweet for some; it was for me. There is the sweet feeling of accomplishment, but also sort of a confused "what now?" state.

What's your next milestone? Frankies, huh?

    Peetie,

You are clearly an outstanding parent raising your son to appreciate the finer things in life. Now, don't go and spoil that by doing Frankies. image

Oh geez, I can see it now. Your son will be competing with us in our old age, sniping everything that looks decent. image

    Don,

You're looking at the cup as half empty. If there's enough like him, we sell off our stashes and retire in luxury! image

Thanks for the kind words. We got them out of mint sets. He really likes to destroy the mint set as he cuts them out though.

Russ, I won't be sniping any of your Kennedies, because I have a Russ-like fetish for 1996-w Roosevelt dimes. I have quite a pile of slabs of them. When I get enough of them to compete with your pile of AH's I will post them. (thats your cue to post the pile-o-AH's)

Kennedys make a nice set and they are affordable. Congratulations to you and your son.
