Any clues when Annacs graded this GSA?

Any one have any idea when this coin was graded by Annacs?
Are they still doing this type of service with the photo also.

Thanks
Tom

You guys need to buy Conder101's book on slabs. It is ANACS 4 listed on page 110. The ANA used this particular one from July 1980 and ended in 1983. And, no, it is not in use today. The coins are overgraded by today's standards.

  • Close Michael but not quite. The ANACS 4 certificate is dated this one is not. Also note the ANA logo in red between the pictures. This is either ANACS 9 (Black & White photos) or ANACS 10 (color photos) page 117 and 118. These are the only two ANACS cetificates that are not dated. ANACS 9 was only used very briefly in early 1987. ANACS 10 was used from 1987 to late 1989. Michael is right though is saying that they no longer use the photocertificates.

It can be hard to tell for white silver coins if the photos are B&W or color. Check for a color fringe around the edge of the coin. The ANA logo is in red on both the B&W and color versions.
