Who is the largest coin wholesaler/retailer in the business?

I believe Heritage use to be the largest wholesaler/retailer in the U.S. coin industry.I believe they are the largest auction company of U.S. coins today.

Who is the largest (by volume) in the U.S. today ?

A couple of the Dealers I ran into at Long Beach tipped the scales at 300+. I'd have to guess it would be one of them?

Actually, if you're looking for a serious answer, I believe it's Littleton.

I've heard of the U.S. Mint, duhhh, and I've heard of Littleton, but I've never heard of silvertown. Do they primarily market to newbies?

Depends on how you define your terms. If you exclude precious metals, i.e. American Gold Eagles, Kruggerands, Austrian Philharmonics, etc., then...by annual sales volume...

Wholesale...Heritage...runners-up Silvertowne, Spectrum, a few others

Retail...Blanchard...runners-up Littleton, American Historical Society, a few others

    Auction...Heritage...runners-up B&M, Stack's, the Goldbergs, Superior

If you include bullion coins then A-Mark wins wholesale by a landslide with about $1 billion in annual sales.
