Bashlow Continental Dollar Restrike Question

In the mid-1960's Robert Bashlow (of Confederate cent restrike fame) did some restrikes of the Continental Dollar. I have been collecting these for some time and now have four metal varieties, White metal, Bronze (or Brass), Copper and Silver. Does anyone have information on what other metals these were struck in? Also, what were the three metals used for the bulk of the restrikes?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I believe those are it -- I don't recall hearing of others, although I'd hardly rule it out.

  • The only info I have on the Bashlow restrikes only shows Brass and bronze. There were other restikes made by other people though including Dickeson, Thomas Elder and Q D Bowers. At least one Elder restrike is in gold (struck over an 1876 double eagle) and all Bowers restrikes were in pewter. I think Dickeson did silver restrikes.
