I received a very lovely Braziilian bi-metal coin in the mail. I know a member was recently in Brazil but I can't think who it is. image Whoever it is, thank you very much. I love it.

Newsman, thanks so much. I thought it was you, I really did, but wasn't sure. My wife loves the coin. One of the prettier bi-metal coins I have.

It's interesting that they also follow a logical scheme -- each coin portrays an important historical figure in chronological order, from Portuguese navigator Pedro Alvares Cabral, who discovered Brazil in 1500, on the one centavo, to Juscelino Kubitschek, president from 1956-61, on the commemorative 1 real. Perhaps this is something our US coin designers can learn from. image

I received a parcel from newsman too. It contained the recent giveaway and the complete type set of Brazil's current coins, that matched the one real,a previous gift from Chuck.Thank you. image

OT: I just looked at your recent eBay purchases. Some people buy one coin per month and post it ten times, some others buy a coin per day and never mention a thing. image

I need a serious tutorial in how to post pictures, because I just can't get it. image My wife is taking a web design class and has promised to help me when she's finished with her homework, but she never is. image

    Here's a tip from a self-taught ignorant:
    STEP 1:
    - click on "attach files" (bottom right, when you're ready to post a reply)
    - browse your documents/pictures or wherever you save the pictures/scans, select the one you want and click "open"
    - click "upload picture" - max. file size 50KB

    STEP 2:
    - click fourth box from left (the one that looks like Mount Fuji)
    - type http://forums.collectors.com//attachments/filename.jpg (or other - not all formats are accepted)
    -hit enter
-you'll see it on the message text appearing in between IMG and /IMG but with [ ] (I can't type them because you'll see a red x if I do)
    -click on reply

    THAT'S IT !image
