As many of you know, I'm slowly working on a PCGs Reg set of Winged Libertys..... I'm in no rush, and I'm looking for certian coins at certian grades.....
I started a new and exciting project around 5 months ago..... I got a National Coin album made for Winged Libertys, and I'm putting brilliant blast white coins in there, I am searching for FSB coins but, I am also using high grade non FSB dimes...... I am not putting anything lower then a ms65 into this album......
Here is the Album:
Here is the quality of coin going into the album, this is a awesome shot ms67fb 41s:
I find myself thrown back to when I was 10, and very excited to get a shiny winged liberty and putting it into a album...
This is really alot of fun for me, it cause me to search every raw Winged Liberty I see, and my skills at accessing them are greatly
improved....... I wan't these blazers to rainbow over time..... A few have started, check out the rim on this beggining to rainbow dime:
This is a long term project, I hope to fill the album quickly, but let them tone over the years... Maybe one day.... get those toners graded..
This is my super Registry set... You know what.... I 'm the only one, and to me, my Raw set in the making, is the Finest known and even
more important, its fun again!
More Winged JEWELS for me!

Very cool set!

I love the fact that you are building a "future" set, and that you have the insite and patience to do so. I wish I was as far sighted as you. For a girl that wants to live in the fifties, you are still way ahead of your time in the present! You should post yearly updates on them so we can see how they are doing.

Those National Coin Albums are treasures by themselves. They were made in the 1940's, possibly in the late 1930's, and into the 1960's. Here's an ad from the December 1945 Numismatist that mentions the albums:
And another ad from the November 1962 Numismatist:
It could take 5-10 years to for white coins to show any significant toning, so you're to be commended for your patience. It will be worth the wait.
BTW: I started collecting in 1955 (as an infant ), and never found "a shiny winged liberty" in circulation. You're dating yourself. Don't you wish you knew then what you know now? It would have been great to have had the means to assemble a serious collection back then.

Folks this information would astound you if you knew what it was.
Ken
No fair keeping secrets you guys. Come on, clue us all in!

You go Gal.
Don
Toned Winged Liberty and
Dave Schweitz would get that 41 s in a 69 FSB holder. You should get at least an ms 68 FSB.The bands are fully rounded.
