Shipping cards...

I'm new to the board and just started collecting a 1969 Topps Baseball graded set. Gemint's '69 set on ebay introduced me to the registry and this forum. I've gotten a lot enjoyment over the last month reading this forum. A newbie question...What is the best way to ship a single graded card through the mail(including packaging) that will be safe and of course be inexpensive for the purchaser? Thanks.

Agreed. That's what I use and I've never had a packaging issue. Welcome to the boards.
There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"
  • same here, also make sure you tape or put something over the top of the case because it will prevent the card form shifting around and possibly falling out!!!!
  • Thanks everyone...very helpful.
  • Grady,

Welcome to the boards and good luck on a very challenging set. The 1969 community is a helpful one and should be able to answer any questions you may have.

You may want to keep an eye on this auction (if you're not already):

    40 card PSA 8 lot

On higher dollar cards (or when shipping two or three at a time) I use a 300 count card box with packing peanuts. It eliminates any possibility of the envelope getting crushed.

  • Thanks Zodiac. I am looking at that auction. The only thing that might hold me back is I already have thirteen of the cards. How long have you been collecting to get the 32% of the set you have?
  • Grady,

I started in May of 2003. I picked up most of the cards from e-Bay. Many of the stars are from my own submission and that is why there are a few 6's in the mix. I'm holding off on another submission until my wife gives me a loupe for Valentine's Day.

If you do a search for 1969 on the vintage trading board you can find a few doubles I have. Let me know if you are interested.

Good luck and if you have any questions about the set, feel free to e-mail me or send me a PM.

    Michael
