coppercoins

I got the following in email today, and am not sure what they could be talking about other than an inaugural medal of some sort. Can anyone provide helpful input?
I found this coin today. I need help identifying it. Maybe you could help or direct me to a book or website? Here is what I have: measures 3/4 inch across; copper in color. Front: dated 1864 with head of Lincoln (facing left) surrounded by 13 stars. Back: the initials "O.K." surrounded by 13 interlocking links.
Thanks for all you can offer in advance.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
