Problem Solved with transferring images

I just want to thank everyone profusely who answered my thread regarding images darkening after transfer to computer after the images looking beautiful after I first shot them with a coolpix 4500....Someone suggested the exposure was too low and they right on, but the real problem was I had the monitor on my camera to maximum brightness and I was having to lower the exposure to get rid of the glare and because the pictures were too bright. Again, when I took them this way I had the eposure set to -.3 to -1.7 and the pictures came out beautiful in the camera monitor, but when I transferred them they were very darkened. I changed the setting on my camera monitor in setup to just below the middle and was able to raise the exposure to +.3 to +1.7 and the pictures came out beautiful on monitor and when I transferred them to the computer they were beautiful and the colors and brightness were right on...thanks again everybody, and I hope other people can learn from this...by the way I also shoot most with daylight, but occasionally I use the ott lite to bring out the true colors and when I use the ott lite I set the white balance again to daylight and it gets rid of the blue bouncing off the slab....Mike
