Coin Prices magazine

How accurate are the prices in it? I know that the prices in this magazines lag a few months behind, but it's not as bad as Redbook (once a year) and not as "current" as the Graysheet. I was wondering if it can be used as a relatively good price guide.

it's the greysheet that is "behind" for nice, accurately graded coins. it's prices seem to be for average to below average coins for each grade.

"coin prices" i don't know about, but I find coin world's "coin values" magazine on the high side, it's prices represent full retail for a very PQ coin for the grade. (either that, or next year's prices)

like all the others, it's a guide, it gets you into the ballpark. it's up to you to find your exact seat.
