Price sheets? Which ones should collectors use?

Hey guys. I am brand new to the forum and I have a price guide question. I see that there are MANY choices for finding the retail value of coins. Aside from looking at Auction prices realized, what is a good way to get an acurate price point for coins? I saw the online PCGS price sheet and it seems high on most issues. What is this mysterious "greysheet?" That's the dealer price guide, right? What about "bluesheet?" If I am at a show, what is considerd an appropriate guide to carry around as a collector's refference? Redbook? It doesn't have prices for many f the grades I am trying to collect so I'd guess not Actually, is considered appropriatte coin show etiquette to have a pricing sheet in your hand when you walk to a dealer's table? (I hope so!) Also are any free ones online of real quality? I have been using the pcgs one as a starting point and then digging futher online stores/ebay/auctions to find specific prices on desired coins. Is that smart?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks in advance,

P.S. I must say, I have been reading the forum for awhile and it seems like you are a pretty nice bunch! image

I'm assuming most dealers use the Greysheet but from reading some of the posts their prices might be off also.
Do a search on Ebay for "CDN" Coin dealers newsletter or "greysheet". You should be able to get a more recent one delivered for around $4.
