When did ANACS start using "PL" on MS Lincoln's??

I have never seen this until tonight. I won an auction for a 1999 Lincoln that is labled "PL". Anyone else seen a PL noted on a MS Lincoln?? Just wondering....

I've seen them use it on statehood quarters, and as far as I know, they and other grading services reserve the right to use PL on any coin they see fit necessary. There are no exclusions.

I asked him if it also had the type 2 rev. He said it was just glossy like a proof coin. Joe
