I didn't grow up with any interest in it either. Always been a real football fan instead. I see that Chelsea knocked off Blackburn at Ewood Park today. Unfortunately, United and the %$^&@#$ Gunners won as well.

Europeans really go for "football" (soccer) too. They even get way violent and consistently kill each other. I'm talking about the fans now. And it's not safe to go to games either.

I saw one match at Stamford Bridge as a lad and enjoyed it, but it's a pretty scary place. Lots of thugs support the Blues.

Anyone who lived in London (like I did) and had a pulse knows what the "Shed End" is at Stamford Bridge - and to stay away from it.

If the funny commericals were not interrupted but the game and the really lame halftime show, I might watch. Think I'll just list some stuff on eBay and hang out here.

No, I haven't. Don't watch much telly anymore. I like old shows like Dr. Who, Blake's 7, The Avengers, UFO and The Two Ronnies (it's good night from me...and it's good night from him).

Also, just about any Brit comedy starring Ronnie Barker.

  • Ronnie Barker's the mutts nutts... Porridge is my all time favourite.

Do yourself a favour and watch "the office". Comedian called Ricky Gervais. They beat Friends and Sex in the City for two Golden Globes the other day... Apparently it's hitting cult status in the States. He's due to appear in the Simpsons...

I always enjoyed watching Dr. Who, no matter who was playing Who.

I like Dr. Who and The Who (but they should have called it quits after Keith Moon died).

Dr. Who rules. I especially liked the Tom Baker and Peter Davison stretches.

Best Dr. Who companions: Mary Tamm (in the good looks category), who was Romana #1 and Turlough, who was a devious lout. Liz Shaw wasn't bad either (legs).

Worst Dr. Who: Sylvester McCoy - an absolute disaster. Worst companion: Ace - obnoxious.

By the way, any more-than-casual Dr. Who fan should pick up a copy of the paperback "The Completely Useless Encyclopedia." It is a hilarious send-up of Dr. Who.

I should be. I actually like the game and the matchup. But I'm kind of worn out now on football. And I grew weary of 2 weeks of the media complaining that it couldn't generate a story (translation: lack of talent in the media). Just found other things to do. I am one of those people who can sit and watch three games in a single day (1, 4:30, Sunday Night Football) or miss everything (like right now). Thank goodness I can also do that with coins! I can walk away from coins and pick and choose the ones I want freely. image

    It's not.
