O.T. - - My son "broke the ice"!!

Completely non-coin-related, but I just have to brag!!
My son took skating lessons & a week of "learn-to-play-hockey" this summer, and then made the bold leap onto a "Light-Travel" ice hockey rink team this winter.
It's been frustrating, as he's amid much more experienced skaters & stick-handlers, and the coach (while wanting to see him succeed & improve) has been on him to skate harder & play more aggressively. Unfortunately for him in the sports world, he's not an aggressive person, and hasn't yet felt comfortable in most sports about "using his size".
He'll never go to college on a sports scholarship, but we encourage him to try as many sports as he wants to, and to just do his best & enjoy them. And like all parents, we pull fo him when he's out there on the ice, the field, the court, etc. And it's sometimes hard to see him get discouraged at times.
But today, all his hard work paid off!!
He set up in front of the net 6 minutes into the 3rd period of a scoreless tie, and one-timed a feed into the net for his first ever goal!!
It almost stood up for the winning goal, but the other team scored on the powerplay with 41.7 seconds left for a final score of 1-1.
But you should have heard his mom and I screaming at the top of our lungs and all of us beaming with pride!!!
Life is GOOD!!!
