Suckers ...

What a scam seller: Lists it in the description as a PR-69 DCAM worth $11,000 -- CU price for a NTC slab, no less -- and then conveniently neglects to mention it is slabbed as DCAM obverse ONLY! Any idiot could tell the reverse is not DCAM, but there are those in pursuit of what is likely a PR-67 coin at $300 plus. imageLINK

Hey guys-for what it's worth only, I want to share something with you about that service I got several Quarters-key dates, from them and they came back one grade lower in a PCGS slab. Saved a lot of money cherrypicking! Wow- I checked your link- man they sure do like to write a lot huh!?
  • Geez!!! I'd sell them this one raw for half the price....

  • Oh my Goodness. I almost posted the same thing last night. This guy overstates the worth of this junk and sells it for about a tenth to one hundreth of what he states it is worth. I used to watch the feedback on his old nick as the negatives came in. They seem to be doing better this time around. Only 1 negative so far. They have a lot of repeat buyers so they are doing something right. But it is a shame that people actually think they are getting a bargain.

Yep, this particular Power Screwer has sheared a lot of sheep over the last few months. I watch his auctions regularly. I'd guess he's now raked in well over $100,000 unloading PCI and NTC garbage on the unsuspecting.

    .............saved by my phone modem!!!!!!!!!!!!

this seller seems to have come out of nowhere and appeared in some of my searches recently. thanks to my slow loading current phone modem i have never viewed one of their listings. they have so much stuff on the page that it takes too much loading time. i'm not willing to spend any waiting and really appreciate that nifty little "Coin Movers" logo they have in the picture spot. i guess i haven't missed anything.

hey Randy, calm down dude. you're gonna pop a gasket!!!image

Ken: I've got to admit that your recently discovered Franklin is one of the most handsome Frankies that I've ever seen. The DCAM contrast with the proof surfaces really adds alot to the eye appeal of that particular series.

It's interesting how some series look better in frosty unc and others look better in proof and/or DCAM proof.

A thing of beauty is a joy for ever
  • i clicked on the link and the seller clearly states the coin is a deepcam obverse, which in my opinion is a rare die variety. they also have a full disclosure on their selling practices and even offer buying tips for potential bidders. i see nothing wrong with what they are doing. if you ask me, the market is just booming and we are missing the ride.

You see nothing wrong with what they are doing??????? Are you the seller? Or one of the bidders?
Ok, let me tell you; First of all they quote the PCGS price Guide, which is retail for properly graded PCGS coins.
So crack this coin & send it PCGS and see what happens; it's only 1 sided Cam, which @ PCGS means it aint Cam and probably wouldn't make 69 so you're talking a $50-$100 advertised as being worth $11K.
    Wake up!!!
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

NTC has moved into where ACG was three years ago. Same atrocious grading, in many cases the same bottom feeder sellers. They are next on my radar. Stay tuned.

In this auction, the high bidder got screwed out of $500. Period, end of subject.

My favorite quote is We have chosen to use the services of this price guide because it is widely regarded as both a foremost authority ...

David Hall said at this years Registry Lunch the price guide was in need of work. (Of course, he said the same thing last summer in Baltimore, so I doubt much will be done anytime soon.)

Deepcam obverse is a rare die variety? I would recommend just a tad more reading on what die varieties are. Cameo and deep cameo are not die varieties at all.

Are you the seller? One of the bidders?

If I recall correctly, this is not the first time supracoin has jumped in to defend a slimeball. I'll do a little search and be back shortly.

Come on Russ, you know as well as I do most of the bottom feeders post here as "collectors".. ala DCAM. It's just a question as to which bottom feeder he is.

At any rate ... I would suggest homerunhall or his lawyer drop Coin Movers a line for the misleading use of the CU Price Gride. They sell these pieces of sh*t citing the value for PCGS coins and list the CU "value" in every auction title ... image
