I couldn't give you a opinion on grade but can you come over to my house and look around. Free beer if you can find some of those coins in my casa.

Ken: Is is just a green reflection in the photo, or does the 71-S Kennedy hava bit of PVC contamination around the periphery of the Obv.?

Very nice Frankie, looks DCAM to me. The JFK has a little field haze that may hold it back from where you would like it to be, Ken.

And, it happens ... not realizing what you have, I mean. I was looking through some coins a few months ago that I had not looked at in a long time and came across a nice looking 1957 Jeff proof. It slabbed PR-67 CAM (45/8)!
  • My guess is 68 DCAM on both. Nice coins! To be honest I can't usually tell the difference between a 68 and a 69 by photo, even good photos like these.
  • Is is just a green reflection in the photo...Actually, it's a blue reflection off of my blue shirt....Ken
  • Ken I have to agree with RGL the Frankie looks DCAM to me possible PR67-68. I'm leaning onr the 67 due to appears to have numerous spots in the field and a spot/nick on the jawline on the obverse. The reverse look really nice. The Kennedy looks DCAM pr67 also. The coin appears to have haze around the periphery on the obverse, hopefully I'm not mistaken refraction for haze. There appears to be a touch of haze in the reverse field around the word DOLLAR. JMHO because I'm real conservtive. Hope it helps out. Other than that great find! image

    Ken,

Nice pics. I count the Franklin 68 Cam, and the JFK 67 Dcam. Both are beautiful coins.

Way to go, Ken! Nice looking coins, and I agree with other members on the grades. Except, they could grade out to Proof 70 DCAM with ACG. image

Assuming no hairlines, which is impossible to tell from images, I'd go 68CAM / shot DCAM on the Frankie and 68DCAM on the Kennedy. Note: The Kennedy looks to be a technical 67, but if that image accurately reflects the degree of contrast, I think it's going to get a "DAMN! They never come this way!" bump.

  • Ken,

Bad sign...finding coins that you can't remember buying is a sign of either old age or over indulgence. LOLimage

I hope Russ is correct regarding the 71S, because I have one at PCGS right now that could be a brother to yours.image

  • I also have another 71S at PCGS and overdue for grading results right now.......Ken
