Anyone know of free photo host site?

Now that Village photos is now charging for external links to Ebay, anyone else use or know of a decent hosting site for free?

Thanks, Wick

Nothing is for free. If you sign up for a 'free' site, it will be limited in size and features and you probably will have to endure pop up ads, emails for upgrades etc...

    Hi Wick
I had the free host site with geocities and the problem is not in storage disk space, as such, but with the "data transfer" - it's like a meter running everytime someone opens a site and views you pics - they charge for that also unless you get a better account where it can be unlimited - in the free site, after a few people access your site/auction and view, you run out of free data transfer and the site shuts down - for a period of time which means no one can see your pic/scan.
You can get these services for as little as 5 bucks a month.

Give www.photobucket.com a try. While they do offer a pay service, they have a free plan I use for online auctions and whatnot, and I've never gone over my limit. Good luck.

    Thanks guys.....
I've been looking at photo bucket with some interest. I'll probably end up going with some of the $5.00 options on the other sites, it's not that expensive and they're taking paypal as well. Once again thanks !

Almost every ISP provides a nominal amount of personal web space without the hassle of geo cities bandwidth limitations. Check with them first, you are likely already paying for it.

Yeah, a Comcast account offers 7 accounts to each subscriber, each storing up to 25mb, included with cable modem service.

Geocities is a pain with all the pop-ups.

Check out imageshack. It is free, and if you register (no cost, just an email), you can delete your images. You can host up to 1024kb (25 square inches at 200dpi), plenty big enough for any scan of a graded card. They have unlimited bandwidth as well, which is the main problem with other "free" image hosting services. Also check out this site for a number of other free sites, with ratings from users. I really like ImageShack because it gives you all the codes for every use you can think of for your pictures. As long as you are using it for cards (and not porn or anything like that) you should have no problems. You can look at my auctions and check out some of ImageShack's handiwork there.
