1864 "L" IHC

I can't for the life of me see the "L" on this coin even looking at high grade ones on Heritage. Could someone highlight where the L is supposed to be or something? I have an 1864 in Good and am wondering if it's an L, or maybe it's a copper-nickel? How can you tell?

Check your Redbook. On a low grade cent the L may well be too weak to see. Check the point of the bust on the Indian - if not rounded - and the cent is thin bronze (not the fat "white" cent) - it's an L.
