It's a circulated coin with rub in the fields. It has a few marks on the obverse. I'd call it AU-55.

  • atarian You have to see those Hundreds tiny marks don't you?
I can see them even with your picture.

Do you have an ANA grading guide?

I agree with Glenn, I can see the marks just with the photo you provided without benefit of a glass! No offense!image

Atarian, it isn't bad to not know. That's how you learn to see those things. Keep looking. You'll find some gems.image

Even without the signs of circulation, the easily visible marks on the obverse would likely cap it at an MS64.
    - Line across the nose
    - Mark above the nose
    - Mark by the chin
    - Rim mark above D of UNITED
    - Mark in field above I of LIBERTY
    - Tick on the neck
    - Tick on the forehead

Any of the top three there would stop me from submitting this coin. As the others say, learn from it. I often come up with ZERO coins to submit from a bank roll.
Give Blood (Red Bags) & Platelets (Yellow Bags)!

    AU53.
atarian...One of the best and cheapest ways to learn to grade is with pocket change or circulation finds.
