Super Bowl Predictions

OK Guys, I am surprised no one has chimed in on this one, so I will lead it off.

This Sundays game looks like a close one on paper. The Patriots will feel the pressure of a must win after winning 15 straight. Carolina has been the underdog on the road through the playoffs, and have relished the role. Carolina sets up the running game to allow Delhomme to continue his high QB rating through the playoffs. New England trys to exploit Carolinas weaker secondary. No home field advantage for New England. This will not be a low scoring affair as some think. I'm going with the dog!

My Prediction; Carolina 26 New England 22

My Bet; Tease Carolina ( +12.5) & the Over (32)

Carolina/New England equal on defense. Carolina has good running game/avergae passing game. New England has good passing game/NO RUNNING GAME!!! There it is, the difference in the game.

I was going to say it ends in a tie and after 60 extra minutes of play they have a field goal kick-off to decide it. Starting on the 20, and going back 5 yards each round, Carolina wins it with a 55 yarder after Vinateri, on his 55-yard attempt, breaks an ankle that they show in bullet-time 3D slo-mo 40 times. The blood from his splintered limb leaves a slick on the field forcing the Carolina kicker to move 2 yards left, which is fortunate because he slices it but it goes through about 2 feet within the right upright. But that's all kind of farfetched.

I do think it will be a good close defensive game. NE will seem to control every aspect but can't break any big swings in momentum their way. Carolina will stay in it with a couple big plays and Stephen Davis running 50 times for 101 yards.

6:31 Carolina scores first of 3 field goals
6:35 Second Budweiser commercial
6:40 First bathroom break
6:40 and 30 seconds New England scores second touchdown
7:00 Finish bag of cheese curls (picked them up after bathroom break)
7:10 open a beer
7:10 and 20 seconds bathroom break
7:25 Carolina scores second field goal
Half-time – Naptime-
Wake up for 4th quarter New England winning now 28 – 6
Game over let dog out, take Mylanta go to bed

Great game. I was actually hoping they'd go to overtime. The winning field goal at the end was somewhat anti-climactic.

The commercials were fun too. Maybe it was just me, but advertisers seemed to push the envelope a little further than they have in the past. The one with the chimpanzee trying to hit on the girl on the couch was the funniest IMO.

I missed the halftime show when Janet Jackson got "exposed". Aren't most broadcasts on a few seconds of delay?

The bud commercial with the horse setting the girl on fire was funny. The car commercial with kids with soap in their mouth was good too.
