Here's another old WW2 medal of my grandfather's I've imaged. This one had been harshly cleaned so it took some doing to get it lookin nice in an image.

    Lovely medal, Phil. I've seen them before but not as nice as you've imaged this one. Great piece to remind you of your grandfather.

    It does. Thomas Shingles tended to engrave by hand as was with the Victory 'nickles' and the '49 dollar. Adds a bit more humanity to designs in a way, many modern coins look so sterile by comparison.
