Here's another old WW2 medal of my grandfather's I've imaged. This one had been harshly cleaned so it took some doing to get it lookin nice in an image.

It does. Thomas Shingles tended to engrave by hand as was with the Victory 'nickles' and the '49 dollar. Adds a bit more humanity to designs in a way, many modern coins look so sterile by comparison.
