How rare are clashed cents????

Ive been going through some of my rolled cents and still going through the 50$ bag of cents I got. Ive been find some clashed dies most are clashed on the obv with the memorial showing up on the obv, most notable the colums (sp) are showing up. They are showing up in the field soo tell me are they rare or arnt they??


Any way they are neat even if they dont turn out to be all that rare.

Not rare, but always cool to have! I have two of them myself. One quite obvious, one not as obvious.

Stronger ones are a bit scarce and can sell for $5 or more. The weaker ones that show parts of a couple of the bays are very common and are not worth a premium. The ones that are worth the most, obviously, are the ones that are visible without having to try to look for them.

Are those called prisoner cents?

The stronger ones are called prisoner cents, but it would be a stretch calling the weaker ones such. Most of the columns need to be mostly visible to call them prisoner cents.
