    Hi and welcomeimage

The Brian Greer book show a small, medium and large O. All are about the same rarity rating.

Walter Breen's book list a tall narrow O. Very rare (#3231).
Over the years many of the coins Breen called rare are now not considered rare.

Sorry don't have a clue on value

  • Dick Osburn who has quite a few seated dime varieties for sale at dickosburn.com states that the large "O" is scarce. He has one listed in G4/AG3 for $20 which is twice the price he is asking for the small and medium "O" in the same grade.

Even though a scarce variety, 98% of dealers won't pay a premium for these more obscure varieties. If the coin is in a decent enough condition, the best places to sell would be Dick Osburn, Brian Greer, Jim O'Donnell.

If you are considering buying, I think you should be willing to pay a premium....but that premium over the other varieties shouldn't be tremendous because getting on premium on the selling end could be quite difficult.

    Good luck.

    Go well.
