After one year of ignorance, today I spent the time with my Nikon 5400 Coolpix and this website!! The results are pics of my 2nd favorite toned Morgan. My favorite is at PCGS awaiting a plastic jacket. The graded slab or bodybag appear in the 2nd pic, 3rd pic is the reverse. So guess what PCGS did to my baby....AT/BB or new slab??? Have fun!image

No cheating!!!!

I'm not really clear on what you're saying. You have a coin in at PCGS, correct? Is it a raw coin? Or, is it the one that was in the holder whose label you pictured? Is the coin you pictured the one that is in currently?

  • I would say BB, just because i have never seen a coin take on so much neon green color without being AT, but i am very far from expert, once again i am wrong image o well, learn somethin new everyday image

    Hey that's real pretty!
I think it would holder without any problem. I have similiar 78cc but the blue green hasn't moved so far inward and is mostly coppery gold center with blue green peripheral. Mine's in a NGC holder though.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

    Russ,

The 3 above pics go together. My most profound raw toned Morgan is at PCGS being graded(hopefully). My raw Morgan at PCGS is a 1885s, tab toned, brilliant orange, blue and electric red on the obverse and has proof-like, mirrored fields on the reverse, including frost on the eagle. Hope that explains it! I hope to take pics like you soon with some practice!! image

If the coin pictured is not the one in for grading, how are we supposed to offer an intelligent guess as to what the submission result might be? Not that any of the guesses would be all that intelligent, anyway. image

Dog....The blue/green is what makes this baby special in my opinion, pink then gold at the center keep me looking at her about every other day. It looks like a painted coin. This is my favorite $30 coin. Yep....$30 raw purchase last October. Will be in my family for a long time!!image

I had a Peace that was similiar too but it was more powder blue or baby blue and it did NG @ PCGS but I expected it to. It doesn't look quite like yours & I think your's will be ok. I'd say yours is album tone.

Ok, one last time, ok I give up. The coin above was graded MS64. My favorite toned Morgan(not pictured above!) is in for grading and I don't have pictures of it. When I get it back.....could be Xmas 04 at the current grading times, I will post pics. Thanks for looking though!!imageimage
