Understanding what the seller means is one thing, but trusting him to come through with what he's advertising is another. If I see an ad with blatant spelling mistakes, I wonder how careful the seller is with grading, packaging, accounting, etc. If it's not someome I'm familiar with, I shy away from the auction.

Bad spelling and/or typos is one thing, but something you also see a lot of is the use of a wrong word to express a thought. For instance, there is a current thread where the author uses the word "except" when they should have used "accept". Is it bad spelling or something worse when someone uses "payed" for "paid" ?

I'm guilty of bad spelin and knot knowin the rite way to youse words, but eye trie to keep it to a minnimum.
