Has anyone ever known of any reprinted Joe Namath Rookie cards?

Do you mean a reprint in the sense of a counterfeit?

In 1996 Topps did an insert series of reprints of all of Namth's cards - similar to the Mantle reprint series they did that year. The series included his RC - which I recalled as being the modern "regular" size rather than the tall boy - but This Auction would seem to prove that my memory is not what it used to be. They also did a chrome version of each card.

Ok - This Auction - is the card I remember. So it looks like Topps has reprinted at least two versions.

Thanks John for the inf. I just passed on a nice real rookie that the seller said he was selling as a reprint because it was not graded. if you have seen the reprint is different on the back from an original. Anyhow the card sold for 130.00. MISSED AGAIN!!
