One thing I like about this bi metallic is that the design is not only on the inner part but is continued on the outer ring. Many of the bi-metallic coins have a seperate design on the ring and another on the inner piece.

Not quite. The face value on this one is only about 27.5 euro cents, and they don't work in European vending machines -- I tried.
