How much premium (Photo now added) should a DPL (DMPL) gold Double Eagle merit?

Assume the following. NGC has been grading for PL and DPL (DMPL) for almost a year now. This includes new coins submitted and old coins that could be resubmitted for the added designation of PL or DPL. I am only addressing pre 1907 Double Eagles. While 131 have been designated PL during that time only one has obtained a DPL designation. Even if there are others later, it will always be the first. Any thoughts on what a fair premium above Trends for the grade would be? An additional $500, a multiple? If it is significant assume the coin is an 1895 NGC graded as MS62 DPL and is aType III. DPL is NGC's term for DMPL (Deep Mirror Proof Like.)

I'd like one but would pay a premium of a few hundred over a non-PL of the same date/grade

No one knows what percentage is PL or DMPL. But I would have to say (based solely on the 1936 to 1975 Proof coins – before the US Mint improved the minting process) that only five to ten (maybe twenty) were made per die.
The risk is high but the reward can be higher.
