Really? That's news to me. I've heard of the Gallery Mint producing errors, on purpose, for an extra donation, but I've never heard nor seen this practice being done by those that mint Silver Rounds. I'll tell you what. Order up ten of these and I'll pay you $75.00 each. That's $750.00 for about $60. worth of silver. Not a bad profit for you. I'll rush the funds directly to your account when you're all ready to ship. Here's my email so you can notify me when you are set to do so: peacockcoins@hotmail.com. Thanks Tom. I look forward to adding these errors you're so easily able to come up with to my collection.
Braddick, I thought the item was pretty cool and thought others might get a kick out of it. I'm kind of surprised by some of the comments. Can you tell us more about the item? The reverse is pretty cool, as it seems to have been stretched. I like the eagle's neck - kind of eel-like.

In my history of checking eBay and various coin shows, especially Long Beach, I've yet to come across a silver round such as this. If others are out there, it's news to me. I've seen a couple that were dramatically off-center, but nothing even close to this one in appearance. I enjoy collecting unusual items related, even if pripherally, to coins and when I discovered this one, bought it up readily. The opening bid was the price I paid and that was six years ago.
I understand it is not everyone's cup of tea and if it doesn't sell, and I suspect it easily may not, I don't mind placing it back with other odd "coin" items I own.
::Whew:: I would strongly caution you and discourage you, from one Collector to another, NOT to bid on it then as the opening price is 17X's that of spot silver.
I collect silver rounds but would never pay more then 100% over spot no matter how much I liked the round. I have looked at many 100's of rounds and only found one "error" in all the ones I looked at and it is nothing like that one. That one is kool but still just a silver round.
